Fine Art graduates’ future – debate
What is the future like for graduates of Czech higher education institutions? Subsidized studioes? Creation of new workplaces? Development programs? Institutional assistance? Functional art market? And how can we change the uncertain state of things?
Critic and a curator. Publishes since 1998. Between 2003 and 2006 he worked as Editor in Chief of the Umelec magazine. In 2007 – 2008 he was the curator of NoD Gallery in Prague. 2009 – 2011 he was an assistant and art director in Video studio at FaVU, Brno. In 2011 he oversaw year-long exhibition program „Gallery of Youth“ for Galerie mladých, Brno. Since 2012 he curates Fotograf Gallery in Prague and since 2015 in the curators team of Galerie Měsíc ve dne, České Budějovice.
Art critic and curator, publishing since 1998. Between 1995 – 2000 he was an editor at Detail magazine. 2004 – 2012 he was the director of the Moravian Gallery in Brno. He curated a number of exhibitions including Czechoslovak pavillion at the Biennale (2005, 2013). Since 2013 he is the director of PLATO – a platform for contemporary art, Ostrava.
Art historian and a curator. Between 2000 and 2008 he curated and lead the National Gallery‘s prints and drawings collections. In 2009 he co-developed the concept of Galerie středočeského kraje (GASK). Since 2011 he works in the Moravian Gallery in Brno – as a curator, in the Methodology Center, and since 2014 as the head curator.
